Thank you for your interest in our facility for your learning experience!

Our volunteers/clinical students are expected to actively take part in therapy. Depending on where you are in your academic process this could include set up and clean-up of equipment as well as interacting with clients. In exchange, we provide observational opportunity, information regarding programming, and opportunities for hands on clinical experience.

We require that our volunteers and students commit to their learning and our clinic. As a volunteer we expect a minimum of 40 hours in order to be in our clinic. We apologize for this rule, but we have found that this amount of time is beneficial for students to learn our routine and about our clients. The more time spent at Pediatric Rehab maximizes the amount of assistance and observation time for students. We will try to work you into our volunteer schedule in time to meet your class requirements. Most of our caseload is scheduled between 2-6 p.m. and therefore student observers need to be available during those times in order to make the experience worthwhile. It is also important to for you to disclose if there are any evaluations, recommendation, or school verification forms that must be completed during the time you are at Pediatric Rehab.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. We are excited to have you join our team and want to make your time here, no matter where you are in your quest to be a therapist, a positive one.
